A disease caused by the new coronavirus that was first identified in December 2019. The new coronavirus can be spread from person to person however can be diagnosed with a laboratory test.

Test Accuracy

Positive results are usually highly accurate, but false positives can happen, especially in areas where very few people have the virus. Negative results may need to be confirmed with a molecular test.

Coronavirus Treatment

There is no vaccine for the novel coronavirus and no specific treatment or cure for COVID-19. However, many of the symptoms can be treated. COVID-19 patients should get plenty of rest, drink lots of fluids, eat healthy foods, and manage stress.

Should I Get Tested For COVID-19?

Doing Your Part Isn't Only The Safe Thing To Do, It's The Right Thing To Do...

While many people are interested in being tested for COVID-19, the simple truth is not everyone needs to be tested. You should consider getting tested if you have symptoms of COVID-19, such as a fever, cough, shortness of breath or sudden loss of taste or smell. You may also want to be tested if you have come into close proximity to someone who is a carrier – meaning someone you have been in close contact with has a confirmed COVID-19 infection.

In some cases, your provider might recommend you get tested for coronavirus even if you do not feel you're experiencing any symptoms, such as if you are scheduled for surgery or physical treatment.

If you’re concerned that you might have COVID-19, contact your primary care provider for advice on treatment and testing.

Questions About Our Testing?

We know this works and want to ensure
you're completely comfortable with the process.

What type of Covid-19 Test Is This?
This is a Viral test otherwise known as "PCR" testing. This type of test detects the virus and will tell you if you are currently infected with the novel coronavirus. Providers may order this nasal swab if they believe your current symptoms are caused by the virus, or if you are being screened prior to surgery.
What Is The Covid-19 Test like?
During a viral test, a swab that looks like a long Q-tip is used to collect a sample from the inside of the nose. You will usually be asked to tilt your head back. Then, the swab will be inserted through your nose into your nasal cavity. This can be uncomfortable, but it should not be painful, and lasts only a few seconds. You may be asked to blow your nose or breathe through your mouth to make the collection process easier.
How do we maintain our facility's compliance of health regulations
Our goal is to make sure that when patients are here, they have a clean, disinfected room so their stay can be as comfortable as possible. Walls and floors are thoroughly cleaned after every patient is discharged, as well as masks, gloves and disinfectants are routinely used and replaced.
